Clara Workshop

DTNW is excited to offer a very special workshop designed especially for youth dancers: the Clara Workshop. Clara is one of the most beloved principal roles in The Nutcracker, and through this workshop, dancers will get a chance to step inside her world.
While dancers will explore Clara’s choreography, the workshop goes far beyond learning the steps. Participants will discover what it truly means to carry a principal role on stage:
- Applying these lessons to Clara and beyond
- Developing stage presence and confidence
- Learning how to connect with an audience
- Exploring artistry, expression, and character development
- Understanding the technical demands of a leading role
Even if Clara isn’t your dream role, this workshop is a valuable opportunity for any young dancer curious about what it takes to shine in the spotlight. From the smallest gestures to the biggest moments, participants will gain insight into the artistry, technical strength, and theatrical qualities that bring a lead role to life.
