New to Dance? Returning After a Break? Start with an Introductory Private Lesson!

At Dance Theatre Northwest, we understand that stepping into a dance class for the first time—or after years away—can feel intimidating. That’s why we’re excited to offer Private Lessons for Non-Enrolled Students of All Ages (Youth, Teen, and Adult), designed to help you feel confident before joining a group class.

This special opportunity allows new or returning dancers to take private 30-minute lessons with one of our experienced instructors. These sessions are tailored to your needs and can help with:

  • Building Confidence – Ease any nerves before stepping into your first class.
  • Assessing Skill Level – Unsure of where to start? We’ll help determine the best class placement for you.
  • Refining Goals – Whether you’re refreshing technique, starting from scratch, or working toward specific dance aspirations, we’ll help you create a personalized path forward.
  • Understanding Our Progression Path – If you’re interested in advancing your skills over time, we can discuss how to achieve your dance goals at DTNW.
  • Studio Information & Policies – We’re happy to answer any questions about class dress codes, studio policies, tuition costs, and what to expect as a DTNW student.

These introductory private lessons are intended only for individuals who are not currently enrolled and are interested in becoming students at Dance Theatre Northwest. They are designed as a introduction to help prospective students take their first step with confidence.

Students who are already enrolled in classes should not register for an introductory private lesson. Instead, current students are encouraged to speak directly with their instructor, or text the Office Manager, about scheduling a private lesson.

  • Cost: $45 per session
  • When: Mondays 3:30, Tuesdays 5:45 or 6:30. Alternative days and times can be arranged. Please contact us by email to discuss scheduling options.
  • Available lesson times are for ballet: If you’re interested in private lessons for another dance style, please contact us to discuss options.
