Piano Player for Classes

DTNW seeks a talented pianist to enhance our ballet classes with live music. This role is ideal for someone who loves music and dance and wants to be part of a vibrant artistic community. While we ideally prefer availability on Saturday morning and early afternoon, we are open to discussing a schedule that works mutually. A stipend will be provided to cover travel costs and time, ensuring our collaboration benefits both parties.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in or familiarity with accompanying ballet classes is preferred but not required.
  • A good sense of rhythm and timing to match the pace of the class.
  • Ability to improvise and adapt to different ballet exercises.
  • A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for working in a creative environment.

Volunteer Opportunity: Grant Writer

DTNW is in search of a skilled Grant Writer passionate about the arts and adept in persuasive writing. In this role, you will play a crucial part in securing funding to support our programs and initiatives, contributing directly to the sustainability and growth of our dance community.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in grant writing or strong writing skills with a readiness to learn quickly (preferred but not required).
  • Understanding of the grant application process and ability to identify funding opportunities.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • A commitment to helping DTNW secure the resources needed to thrive.

As a Grant Writer, you will work closely with the Director of Development, aligning your efforts to enhance our fundraising strategies and maximize the impact of our development activities.


Volunteer Opportunity: Gala Coordinator

As Dance Theatre Northwest looks to revive our much-loved annual gala, which has been on hiatus since before Covid-19, we are seeking an enthusiastic Gala Coordinator. This vital role is perfect for someone with a passion for the arts and a talent for bringing events to life. Your efforts will be instrumental in reestablishing this key fundraising event, contributing significantly to our community’s vibrancy and success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in event planning or a strong interest in learning and leading event initiatives.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication abilities and the capacity to coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to managing event logistics and the ability to inspire a team.

As our Gala Coordinator, you will have the chance to spearhead the relaunch of our gala, creating memorable experiences that highlight the spirit and achievements of DTNW. You will work closely with the Director of Development to align the gala’s objectives with our broader development strategy.
